Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas - Wow! Does that feel good to say! Yes, it is the festive time of year. It is cold outside, the kids are in the kitchen making peanut butter balls and getting ready to bake cookies. I've just finished chomping on a candy cane and there is Christmas music playing from the IPhone. Christmas cards are arriving daily, I've see 12 different version of wish lists from the kids, and we have been connecting with friends and family about holiday plans. It doesn't get any better than that!

And yes, nothing says Christmas like a stop at Chick-Fil-A. After 4 hours of wrapping presents at Walmart for the participants in "Shop with a Cop". We decided to have brunch. And there was Santa Cow. Couldn't resist the photo op.

Public Service Announcement - Free Chicken

Time for some free Chick-fil-a sandwiches. Go to Chick-fil-a to get a free sandwich on Saturday over the Labor Day weekend.

Hey, it is Labor Day weekend and it is time for some football and some free chicken. Yep, I said free chicken.

Now for those of you who are living in parts of the uncivilized world; towns or countries that don't have a Walmart and a Chick-fil-a, you have no idea what you are missing. This is some of the best chicken sandwiches that you can get. As their tag line states, they didn't invent chicken, just the chicken sandwich, and boy howdy. They did a great one.

They also have some of the best tea in the world. Now. There is only one way to get tea in the south and that is called tea. To the rest of the world that is called sweet tea.

Anyway, just wanted to give you all a heads up that this weekend you can get a free chicken sandwich just by going into one of their locations. The rule is all you have to have is a logo of your favorite team. See chick-fil-a.com for the rules.

Let the Games Begin....

I mean football games. It is finally football season. Real college football. I have had to wait since January to see a real college football game. And some Real games were played this past weekend.

My compliments to Coach Saban, John Parker Wilson, and the rest of the Crimson Tide who didn't read the Clemson press clippings. That was quite a game. Clemson didn't realize that the Tuscaloosa Team isn't a real big fan of orange, except during hunting season.

This should be an exciting season in the SEC. (The toughest football conference in America) As of this writing it appears that only one team didn't beat the opponent from outside of the conference.

My appreciation to the Chick-fil-a company for sponsoring the Kick Off Classic. We had the chance to have some sweet tea, and chicken with our Tiger.

Happy Cow Appreciation Day -

My friends at Chick-Fil-A have invented a new Hallmark holiday. Today is Cow Appreciation Day. It is time to go to your local Chick-Fil-A to have some chicken. On Friday, July 11, 2008 all you have to do is dress like a cow and you can receive some cool things.

I have always been a fan of Chick-Fil-A this promotion just makes it fun. They are also the makers of some of the finest sweet tea in the country. So, help a cow today, eat more Chicken.

Taste of the South comes to the Mid-West! Thank you Chick-fil-a!!!! I am your biggest fan of your sandwiches, slaw, milk shakes, nuggets, biscuits, and service. I have traveled many miles out of the way to purchase your famous sweet tea. Since I didn't enter the contest for biggest fan I will accept second place....but it is a really close second.

My children have been counting down the days with your banner on the front of the store that is opening in 3 days. We are all so excited!

Did I mention how much my family loves your free standing units with a play place? We are already planning to make a visit as soon as the unit opens.
